Guided walks
These are the Guided Walks scheduled for 2026. Further events may be added during the year. It would be really helpful if you could let us know if you intend to join any of the walks either through contacting one of the Committee or by sending a message using the Contact Form on this website.
3rd May - Dawn Chorus at Wyre Forest. This has, in previous years, proved to be a popular event and will, once again, be led by Ed Benbow.
We will meet 05.55 (for a 6am start) in Hawkbatch Wood Car Park (Free). Postcode is DY12 3AF.
17th May at 10.30 am - Pensax/Menith Wood area.
A guided tour has been arranged of the ‘Wild Life’ farm featured in Michael Northwood’s Newsletter articles to give you the opportunity to see and ask questions about traditional orchards, species-rich grassland and ancient woodland and the wildlife these habitats attract. The visit will include opportunity to see meadow flowers that were considered ’common’ but are now increasingly rare.
21st June - Hollow Meadow, Stoke Bliss, WR15 8RY. With thanks to Maggie Kingston (owner and TVWG Member), Teme Valley Wildlife Group has been given the opportunity to conduct a mini-BioBlitz at Hollow Meadow. After years of careful restoration overseen by Maggie, the site was designated in the late 1990s, as a Local Wildlife Site for its rich botanical diversity. The event will start at 10.30 am. Parking and toilets will be available together with light refreshments.
19th July - River Teme Walk
This will start at 2 pm from St Mary Magdalene Church, Little Hereford (where there is parking) and will be led by TVWG Chair, Rich Pill. The church is accessed from the A456 via a track next to Little Hereford Parish Hall (please do not park at the hall). Please be parked up by 1.50 pm.

Depending on the weather, the walk will follow the River to the Temeside (former PH) returning along the disused railway line.
